Founded in 2015 by Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA),  Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP) and the New York Professional Nurses Union (NYPNU), NENA’s sole purpose is to help healthcare workers form unions and better the lives of themselves and their patients. Since 2015, NENA has helped nearly six thousand healthcare workers throughout the northeast come together for a collective voice. We are healthcare professionals who recognize the need to achieve a more powerful and distinctive voice in the workplace to protect our professional practice and provide the highest quality care for our patients. NENA is here to support these efforts by educating and mobilizing those interested in forming a union at their place of work.
